Executive Committee Meeting for the 2015 IAPTC Annual Conference is held in Brasília-DF
Brasília (DF) - The Executive Committee Meeting for the Annual Conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (IAPTC) started on 18 May 2015, in the capital of Brazil. Major General Glaucio Lucas Alves, 3rd Deputy-Chief of the Land Operations Command, along with Colonel Taufik B. S, representative of IAPTC current Presidency, Major General Mohammad Maksudur Rahman, former President of IAPTC and Colonel Sunny Murugesan, Secretary of IAPTC carried out the opening ceremony, giving a warm welcome to participants from 11 countries and institutions. During the day, the executive committee members discussed the conference agenda, to be held in September, as well as the theme for the upcoming event suchas the preparation of the final detailed conference program. Two hundred fifty participants from all over the world are expected to come to Brasília in September. The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) and the Land Operations Command (COTER, acronym in Portuguese) are the main hosts of the upcoming event.
