Official Opening of BRAENGCOY's Training (EAOP)
Natal (RN) - On the morning of 26 April, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) started the UN pre-deployment advanced field exercise (EAOP, acronym in Portuguese) of the Brazilian Engineering Company (BRAENGCOY) to be part of the 22nd Brazilian contingent in the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti.
The exercise will be carried out on the streets of Natal until 30 April 15, Thursday, and 142 troops from BRAENGCOY will take part in it.
This is the last preparation phase of the Brazilian Engineering Company, when several day and night situations likely to be found in Haiti will be simulated.
CCOPAB Commander, Colonel José Ricardo Vendramin Nunes, delivered a lecture on updated and contextualized information about the mission environment as well as the characteristics of the pre-deployment advanced field exercise.
In his final words, Colonel Vendramin highlighted the following:"(...)all is a matter of teamwork: the Ministry of Defense, the Brazilian Army, the 1st Engineering Group, the 7th Motorized Infantry Brigade, CCOPAB, the 7th Combat Engineering Battalion and the Brazilian Engineering Company.We are all responsible for your success; and you yourselves are the greatest contributors for it.Count on CCOPAB as a support instrument to provide you with the best training possible."
