CCOPAB MTT starts its first day of activities in Luanda
Luanda, (ANGOLA). Luanda (ANGOLA).On the morning of 08 December, CCOPAB Mobile Training Team was welcomed by Col DANIEL KABOBO, Chief of the Special Preparation Office of the Angolan Army Infrastructure and Engineering Direction, by Mr. JUSTO DE ROSÁRIO BALUNDO FIRMINO, Coordinator of the Technical Demining Formation Center, and by Ms. DOMINGAS CRISTOVÃO, Deputy Director-General for Management of the National Institute of Demining (INAD, acronym in Portuguese).
After the Opening Ceremony of the Course, carried out in the presence of Mr. LEONARDO SEVERINO SAPALO, Director-General of INAD, Col DANIEL KABOBO, Col Artillery GERSON DE MOURA FREITAS, Brazilian Defense, Navy, Army, Air Force Attaché in Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe, and of Ms. DOMINGAS CRISTOVÃO, the MTT started the training itself, approaching issues related to the Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM). The MTT addressed basic aspects of UN peace operations, taking into account several existing concepts, principles, and functioning of such operations in order to provide the best conditions for the perfect understanding of Mine Actions in the context of Peace Operations.
