CCOPAB carries out Staff Officers and MilObs course
On 27 January, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Center started the Course for Staff Officers and MilObs, counting on the presence of 10 Brazilian Army officers as students. This course marks the beginning of the instructional activities at CCOPAB in 2014.
In this first week, the students had several instructions which are inherent to the functioning and organization of UN peace operations - how to deal with military personnel from other nations as well as with civilians, theoretical and practical classes on map reading, GPS navigation, communication, negotiation and mediation.
