UNDSS carries out SSAFE course in partnership with CCOPAB
From September 24 to 26, the Office of the United Nations Department of Safe and Security (UNDSS) in Brazil, in partnership with the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB), conducted the 6th edition of the Safe and Secure Approaches in Field Environments (SSAFE) Course, in the facilities of Itamaraty Palace and of CCOPAB. The aim of the course is to enable civilians of the United Nations Organization to carry out fieldwork with security.
On September 26, last day of activities, there were different practical exercises tackling movement techniques in risky areas, first-aid and conduct as hostage.
