CCOPAB participates in “Operação Felino 2013”
"Operação Felino 2013" has been held from 16 to 27 of September in the city of Itaoca, State of Espírito Santo, and counts on the participation of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) by the representation of Lieutenant Commander (Marines) Werner, who has acted in the exercise as the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), and Captain Flávio Henrique, who has acted at the CIMIC (Civil Military Coordination) cell of the Task Force.
Under the coordination of the Brazilian Navy by means of the Marines Corps in this edition, the Operation will have the participation of military personnel of the Armed Forces from seven countries of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP): Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
"Operação Felino" aims at training a Combined Joint Task Force and allowing the interoperability of the Armed Forces from CPLP's Member States for the deployment in Peacekeeping Operations and Humanitarian Assistance missions under the aegis of the United Nations (UN).
