Second day of the Course for Unit Commanders and Staff (EPCOEM)
On August 6, the second day of the Course for Unit Commanders and Staff (EPCOEM) for the 19th Brazilian Contingent (19º CONTBRAS) of the United Nations' Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH, acronym in French), the apprentices started their morning activities with the instruction by Lieutenant Colonel Negreiros concerning the "Organization and Basic Procedures of the UN General Quarter Staff". After that, Lieutenant Colonel Moleta talked about "Mediation, Negotiation and the Use of the Language Assistant". After this lecture, Captain Ana Cardoso talked about the following topics: "The Language Assistant and Practical Exercises on the Use of Interpreters".
In the afternoon, Major Mc Carthy presented a lecture on "Crisis Management", and the Chief of the 3rd Assistance Office of the Department of Engineering and Construction Colonel Cesar talked about the topic "BRAENGCOY's Possibilities and Limitations".
