CCOPAB starts off the Preparation Course for Interviews of Brazilian Candidates to military posts at DPKO

On July 29, 2013, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) starts off the Preparation Course for Interviews of Brazilian Candidates to military posts at the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) at the auditorium of Sergio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facilities. From 29 to 31 of July, the apprentices will undergo the course, whose objectives are to present them the organization, the missions and the work developed at CCOPAB, the peculiarities of the structure and the functioning of the United Nations (UN), the UN's personnel recruiting process, and also to train Brazilian military personnel from the three armed forces for the actual interviews.

The military personnel who will attend the course were hosted by CCOPAB's Commander Colonel Baganha, who also presented the opening lecture concerning the structure and functioning of the UN. After that, invited instructor Colonel Durão talked about "The UN and its personnel recruiting process" and "Competencies and Interviews assessed in the Recruiting Process".

In the afternoon, the military personnel from CCOPAB's Translators and Interpreters Division and one invited military person from EsAO (Brazilian Captains' Advanced School) started the preparation of the apprentices for the interviews.
