Driving Skills Instruction during the Military Experts on Mission Course
On June 10, following a sequence of activities of the Military Experts on Mission (EPMP) at the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center, the students had Driving Skills instructions in the Gericinó Instruction Field. The instruction was divided into four parts:
1. Road Safety: instruction on the UN doctrine, as per CPTM, concerning the cautions to be taken when driving vehicles during UN missions;
2. Four-Wheel Driving: guidance on the 4W vehicles;
3. Maintenance Check-List: briefing on the check-list of UN vehicle maintenance;
4. Field Practice: practical activity - driving vehicles in uneven terrain, using 4W vehicles. This instruction had 5 workshops: driving on the right, 4W, maintenance checklist, maintenance and parking.
