CCOPAB starts off the Course for Military Experts on Mission, Staff Officers and UNPOL 2013.2

 On May 27, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center started off the third phase of the Course for Military Experts on Mission, Staff Officers and UNPOL 2013.2 (EPMP), which will last until June 21, 2013.

The aim of EPMP is to enable the military and police personnel to perform functions as Staff Officers, Military Observers and United Nations Police (UNPOL) in UN Peacekeeping Operations. This course is composed of 20 military personnel from the Armed Forces, 05 from the Military Police and one officer from Angola. They have all been assigned to the functions mentioned above.

 The whole course is done in English and, during the course, there will be theoretical and practical instructions at CCOPAB, Gericinó Instruction Field (CIG) and surroundings. The students will be divided into three groups: one for Staff Officers, one for Military Observers and one for the police personnel who will work as UNPOL.

 During the first week, the instructions will be the same for the three groups. On the first day, they will take a diagnostic evaluation to check how much they have learned during the online phase. For this course, three officers from friendly nations will be part of the instructors' team.
