Second day of the Course for Unit Commanders and Staff Officers
On the second day of the Course for Unit Commanders and Staff Officers for the 18th Brazilian Contingent in Haiti, the morning activities focused the lecture by the Prosecutor of the Military Justice Najla Nassif Palma on International Humanitarian Law and Peacekeeping Operations (pictures 1 and 2). The prosecutor emphasized the Principles of International Humanitarian Law (IHL).
In the afternoon, CPT Popov from the Military Police of Distrito Federal made a lecture on the Police from Haiti, from the United Nations and from Guatemala (pictures 3 and 4). The Captain emphasized the functions each Police department has in Haiti nowadays by showing deep knowledge and motivating the interest of the apprentices.
