United Nations Police Course (UNPOL)

The United Nations Police Course (EPMP-UNPol) conducted at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) aims to prepare participants to perform individual tasks as Police Officers in a United Nations Peacekeeping Mission. The course trains students to: fulfill the law enforcement aspects of UN Peacekeeping Operations mandates, in accordance with DPO/DOS principles and guidelines and their underlying international legal standards; perform their police duties effectively, professionally, and in an integrated manner; and demonstrate the core values and competencies of the United Nations.

Duration

The UN Police Course lasts a total of four weeks and is conducted in person at CCOPAB facilities.

1st Edition: June 2 to 27, 2025.
2nd Edition: October 3 to 28, 2025.

Requirements

To enroll in the UN Police Course, the candidate must be an officer, warrant officer, or career sergeant of the Brazilian Army, other Regular Forces, Auxiliary Forces, and Armed Forces of Friendly Nations. Candidates should be assigned to a UN mission or about to be deployed. English proficiency is required, and French proficiency is desirable.
