Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment Course (PSEAH)

The Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment Course, conducted at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), aims to train military and police personnel in implementing UN policies related to the prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment. This includes the responsibilities of personnel deployed on individual missions or as troop components, and emphasizes the consequences and impact of prohibited behaviors and sexual misconduct by UN personnel.

Duration

The course lasts a total of two weeks, developed in two phases: the first phase lasting one week in a distance learning modality, and the second phase lasting one week, conducted at CCOPAB facilities.

1st Edition

Distance Learning Phase: March 3 to 7, 2025; and
In-person Phase: March 10 to 14, 2025.

2nd Edition

Distance Learning Phase: September 1 to 5, 2025; and
In-person Phase: September 8 to 12, 2025.

Requirements

To enroll in the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment Course, the candidate must be an officer, warrant officer, or career sergeant of the Brazilian Army, other Regular and Auxiliary Forces, and Friendly Nations, assigned to a UN mission. English proficiency is required, as the course will be conducted in this language.
