Civilian Capacity Building Course for Peace Operations
The Civilian Capacity Building Course for Peace Operations is conducted at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), in partnership with the Brazilian Network for Research on Peace Operations (REBRAPAZ). It aims to train civilian professionals to perform managerial, planning, and coordination functions at the operational level, for joint action with military and police personnel, during participation in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (PKO), United Nations Special Political Missions (SPM), and also in United Nations Country Teams (UNCT).
Duration
The course lasts a total of two weeks, developed in two phases: the first phase lasting one week in a distance learning modality, and the second phase lasting one week.
Distance Learning Phase: July 21 to 25, 2025; and
In-person Phase: July 28 to August 1, 2025.
Requirements
To enroll in the Civilian Capacity Building Course for Peace Operations, the candidate must be a Brazilian civilian and hold a higher education degree in international relations, political science, social sciences, public administration, anthropology, law, economics, or related fields. The course will be taught in Portuguese, however, participants are advised that there will be abundant use of English vocabulary.
