CCOPAB female instructor supports the Brazilian Navy during the international training of women for Peace Operations

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – From 26 to 30 June 2023, Lieutenant Colonel (Brazilian Air Force) LUANDA, from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), participated, as a guest instructor, in the on-site phase of the 10th edition of the International Peace Operations Course for Women, carried out by the Naval Peace Operations Center (CopPazNav, acronym in Portuguese).

The Course was developed through several theoretical and practical instructions, which addressed the modules of the Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM), with the purpose of presenting training resources, so that students can make use of them when deployed to peace missions under the aegis of the United Nations (UN).

For this edition, there were 60 students as representatives from several institutions and organizations: the Brazilian Navy, the Brazilian Air Force, the Ministry of Defense, the Federal Highway Police, State Police Departments of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro State Fire Department , universities and the press. In addition to the Brazilian students, there were also 11 female soldiers from Angola, Cameroon, Chile, Ethiopia, Ghana, Latvia, Namibia, Peru, Thailand, the United States and Uruguay.
