CCOPAB commander participates in the Annual Conference of the European Association of Peace Operations Training Centres

Brussels (Belgium) – From 7 to 9 June 2023, Colonel VAZ, Commander of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), participated, as a guest, in the Annual Conference of the European Association of Peace Operations Training Centers (EAPTC), organized by the European Security and Defense College (ESDC).

On the occasion, CCOPAB Commander represented the Latin American Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (ALCOPAZ), whose Presidency pro tempore is the responsibility of Brazil this year, having CCOPAB as the Secretariat. The Uruguayan Army Colonel (Ret.) ROBERTO GIL, Special Adviser to ALCOPAZ, who has worked for many years on institutional integration initiatives for the Association, was also present at the event.

This year, 120 participants attended the Conference, including military, police and civilian personnel, representing several training centers, regional associations, UN agencies and educational and research institutions. It was an excellent opportunity for the integration of regional associations from Latin America and Europe.
