CCOPAB soldier completes the 1st phase of the Temporary Sergeants Training Course
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 12 May 2023, Student YURI, a member of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), successfully completed the 1st phase of the Training Course for Temporary Sergeants (CFST, acronym in Portuguese) of the Infantry branch, held at the 2nd Motorized Infantry Battalion (School), from 27 February to 12 May 2023.
The 1st phase of the course comprised an intense period of theoretical and practical instructions, as well as field exercises and other activities. It all aimed at building knowledge and core skills for future 3rd Sergeants, so they can perform the role of squad leaders, in a infantry platoon, in their respective coys.
The 2nd phase of the training, to begin on 15 May 2023, will be held at CCOPAB. It is an opportunity to put the technical and professional knowledge into pratice, regarding the administrative and operational issues, for the performance of new duties as a 3rd sergeant.
As an example and motivation for his peers, the selection of the then private YURI for the CFST was a recognition for his high performance and invaluable contribution to “The Home of Peacekeepers”, which intends to become an educational reference in Brazil and all over the world.
