CCOPAB starts the last phase of the UNSO, UNMO, and UNPOL courses

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 08 May 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), started the last phase of the UNSO, UNMO, and UNPOL courses (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese), aiming to prepare military and police personnel, either from Brazil or from friendly nations, to work as Staff Officers, Military Observers and Individual Police Officers, when deployed to Peace Operations under the aegis of the United Nations (UN).

This last phase of the courses will be completed on 02 June and is designed to address the training programs issued by the UN, comprising the contents of the Core Pre-deployment Training Materials (CPTM), as well as specific content for each function, as per the Specialized Training Materials (STM).

The opening activity of the last phase was marked by the presence of Colonel (Brazilian Air Force) ROGÉRIO AYRES VASCONCELLOS, former CCOPAB Deputy-Commander and current representative of the Ministry of Defense (MoD). He took the opportunity, on behalf of the MoD, to deliver instructions regarding the management of the Brazilian participation in Peace Operations.
