CCOPAB participates in the ceremony allusive to Brazilian Army Day
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 19 April 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) participated in a ceremony allusive to the Brazilian Army Day, in order to celebrate its 375 years of history, relying on the participation of several military organizations in the Garrison of Vila Militar, Rio de Janeiro.
The date refers to the first Battle of Guararapes, which took place on 19 April 1648 – a historical episode marked by the Brazilians’ and Portuguese’s high sense of self-denial and value for the land, when fighting the Dutch invasion of the national territory. It is considered the historical milestone of the Army’s origin.
