CCOPAB instructor takes part in a workshop in the United States of America
Washington D.C. (United States of America) – From 8 to 10 March 2023, Lieutenant Colonel (Brazilian Air Force) LUANDA DOS SANTOS BASTOS, an instructor at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), participated in the Workshop “Women, Peace and Security”, held at the Inter-American Defense College, which aimed to promote an inclusive approach to Women's participation and leadership in Peace and Security, in the Western Hemisphere.
On that occasion, Brazil was also represented by Colonel (Brazilian Army) SANDRO GOMES DE VASCONCELOS, from the Ministry of Defense, and by Colonel (Brazilian Air Force) WAGNER GOMES DE ARAUJO, delegate of the Brazilian Air Force, representing Brazil in the Inter-American Defense Board. In addition to the Brazilian military, the Workshop also relied on the participation of nine other countries, having military and civilian personnel from Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and the United States of America, totaling 32 participants.
