CCOPAB takes part in the “Peace Run”
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 9 March 2023, a team from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) participated in the sports event “Peace Run”. It is an activity, coordinated by the 1st Army Division, involving all military organizations in the Vila Militar garrison, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
CCOPAB was represented by soldiers from the Brazilian Army, the Brazilian Navy and the Brazilian Air Force. Moreover, there were soldiers from France and Argentina, which is a unique characteristic of this Joint Center. CCOPAB has an integrated team of instructors and monitors, dedicated to the preparation of military, police and civilian personnel, from Brazil and from friendly nations, for peace and humanitarian demining missions.
The celebration of the International Military Sports Day takes place annually, alluding to the creation of the International Military Sports Council (CISM, acronym in French), offering walks or races to military personnel around the world.
