CCOPAB instructor takes part in the International Movement Planning Training in Norway

Oslo (Norway) – From 28 November to 03 December 2022, Major Victor Manoel ARRUDA do Nascimento, Instructor at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), participated, as a student, in the International Movement Planning Training (INTMOVP T).

The training, provided by the Norwegian Defense International Center (NODEFIC), aimed at preparing its participants to serve as members of the General Staff, responsible for the national and international movement of troops, for the deployment in operations conducted by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ( NATO) or in United Nations (UN) Peace Missions, making use of the doctrine of movement from these two organizations.

The training was divided into two phases: the first one was an e-learning phase, from 22 to 24 November, aiming at leveling knowledge about NATO and UN logistics; and the second one was an on site phase, from 28 November to 03 December, in which students worked with different scenarios related to the objectives of the activity.

On this occasion, Brazil was also represented by an officer from the Marine Corps of the Brazilian Navy (Lieutenant CARLOS Matos COSTA) and an officer from the Brazilian Air Force (Major Daniel Cosme LINDES Gomes). In addition to the Brazilian soldiers, the course was attended by students from the following countries: Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Nigeria, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Sweden.
