CCOPAB takes part in the annual meeting of REBRAPAZ
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 09 and 10 November 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) took part in the V Research Seminar and the VI Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Peace Operations Research Network ( REBRAPAZ). The events, organized by the Study and Research Group on International Security (GEPSI, acronym in Portuguese), of the University of Brasília (UNB), were held on line.
In the Research Seminar, whose main theme was “The fragility and future of UN peacekeeping operations before recent changes in the global order”, Lieutenant Commander (Brazilian Navy) RANULPHO - a CCOPAB instructor - presented his article “EPCAAI as a social asset, through the Norms and Concepts in Peace Operations”, in partnership with Mr. Juvencio Antônio Vasconcelos Lobo, a researcher at the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff College (ECEME).
At the Annual Meeting, Colonel VAZ, CCOPAB Commander, delivered a presentation on the Panel entitled “Training and deployment of civilians in UN peace operations: challenges and opportunities for Brazil”. The panel also relied on the participations of Mrs. Larissa Almeida (UN Verification Mission in Colombia) and Mr. Henrique Garbino (Swedish Defense University & REBRAPAZ), moderated by Dr. Eduarda Hamann, REBRAPAZ General Coordinator.
