CCOPAB starts the UN Pre-Deployment Advanced Field Exercise for the Jungle Quick Reaction Coy
Altamira (PA) – On 19 September 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), started the UN Pre-Deployment Advanced Field Exercise (EAOP), applied to the military personnel of the 23rd Inf Bde, members of the Quick Reaction Company specialized in Jungle Warfare Operations, offered by Brazil to the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UNPCRS).
The Mobile Training Team (MTT), sent to the facilities of the 51st Jungle Infantry Battalion, is carrying out EAOP. The exercise marks the final phase of the preparation of troops at the disposal of UNPCRS, and it is based on entirely practical activities, aiming at simulating situations that the Jungle Quick Reaction Company will possibly find when deployed to a Peace Operation.
The parade at beginning of the Exercise was marked by the presence of General COSTA NEVES, Northern Military Commander; accompanied by Lieutenant General NIGRI, Head of Peace Missions, Aviation and Inspector-General of Brazilian State Police, of the Land Operations Command; Major General EVANDRO, Head of the Operations Coordination Center of the Northern Military Command; and Major General MAURÍCIO DE SOUZA, Commander of the 23rd Jungle Infantry Brigade.
