CCOPAB supports the UN Pre-Deployment Advanced Field Exercise of the PKF Light Infantry Battalion
Quatis (RJ) and Porto Real (RJ) – From 15 to 17 September 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), by means of a Mobile Training Team (MTT), supported the UN Pre-Deployment Advanced Field Exercise (EAOP), of the PKF Light Infantry Battalion, composed of soldiers from the 12th Light Infantry Brigade (Airmobile), offered by Brazil to the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UNPCRS).
The Exercise, entirely practical, had 78 incidents that simulated situations that occur in peace missions, with emphasis on overt patrolling, search and seizure operation, convoy escort, civil-military coordination, occupation of TOBs, road clearance, CIMIC, protection of civilians, and rules of engagement.
This edition of EAOP was supported by the Army Aviation Command, the Eastern Training Center, and several military units subordinated to the 12th Light Infantry Brigade (Airmobile), which greatly contributed to the certification of 688 soldiers of the PKF Light Infantry Battalion.
