CCOPAB participates in Jungle Warfare Mobile Training Team to MONUSCO

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 29 August to 2 September 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) delivered Peacekeeping Instructions (IPMP, acronym in Portuguese), to Jungle Warfare Mobile Training Team to be deployed to the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), whose aim is the update of technical knowledge about peacekeeping operations and its features.

At that opportunity, there were instructions about the main topics related to the Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM), from the UN DPO, in collaboration with tuition classes of French, the official language of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; Major (France) YOANN MANUEL PIERRE YVINEC, instructor at CCOPAB, provided the linguistic support.

The Mobile Training Team (MTT) is composed of 12 military personnel, ten from the Brazilian Army, one from the Brazilian Air Force and one from the Brazilian Navy. All of them are qualified for Jungle Warfare MTT. Their mission is to offer specialized training to the Force Intervention Brigade (FIB) which integrates the military component of MONUSCO.
