CCOPAB welcomes the Director of Military Technical Education
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 17 August 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) welcomed Major General FLAVIO ALVARENGA FILHO, Director of Military Technical Education (DETMil).
During the activity, the Director visited CCOPAB facilities, in order to know the places where the educational activities are carried out as well as the accommodations offered to students during the courses; also, he could understand the proposals included in Sergio Vieira de Mello Project, which aims to provide CCOPAB with facilities that allow the execution of educational activities, regarding the Center's vision of the future - “to be an international reference when it comes to the preparation of human resources for peace operations and humanitarian demining missions.
On that occasion, MG ALVARENGA briefly attended an instruction of the Mine Action Course (EACM, acronym in Portuguese), which aims to train military personnel, from Brazil and from friendly nations, to perform the roles of Instructors, Monitors and International Advisors in Humanitarian Demining missions.
