CCOPAB delivers training to PKF Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – From 8 to 12 August 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) delivered instructions for Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders (IPCOSUPEL) of troops at the disposal of the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UNPCRS), aiming at training personnel according to the Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM), as well as focusing on the deployment and on the roles of the PKF Inf Bn and its Company as a Quick Reaction Force (QRF).

In addition to CCOPAB Instruction Team, Major General FLÁVIO DOS SANTOS LAJOIA GARCIA, Chief of Peace Missions, Aviation / General Inspector of State Police, from the Land Operations Command (COTER), also observed the practical activities carried out on 11 August. Lieutenant Colonel ANDRÉ RICARDO LESA PEREIRA, Commander of the 6th Light Infantry Battalion and Major EMERSON GUIMARÃES FONTOURA, from the 51st Jungle Infantry Battalion, commanders of the units receiving training, also attended the activities.

In this edition of IPCOSUPEL, there were 35 students from the 12th Light Infantry Bde (Airmobile) and the 23rd Jungle Infantry Bde, Ready-to-be-deployed units (FORPRON, acronym in Portuguese), as part of the operational deployment system - a modern instrument of the Brazilian Army whose goal is to enhance the rapid deployment capacity of troops.
