Rio de Janeiro - On March 23, the Brazilian Peace Opeartions Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received a news team from Record Television Network that aimed at shooting a news story on the preparation of Brazilian military personnel for UN Peace Missions, under the coordination of the Brazilian Army Social Communication Center (CCOMSEx, acronym in Portuguese).

The TV Network repórter, Vanessa Libório, interviewed Colonel Carlos Alberto Moutinho Vaz, Commander of CCOPAB, Captain Camila de Almeida Paiva, Instructor of the Peace Operations Center, Major Nina Machado Figueira, student of the Military Experts on Mission Course (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese), and Captain Danielle Souza Bonifacio, Chief of the Brazilian Army Manufacturing and Industrial Technical Management Section, and, on a videoconference basis, Major Christiane Alves de Lima, a CCOPAB instructor who is currently serving in the United Nations Integrated Multidimensional Mission for the Stabilization of the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

The news story also portrayed a mediation and negotiation simulation, where the female soldiers had to negotiate their way through an armed group's checkpoint and then, they held a mediation meeting between local leaders of a community in order to settle a dispute over access to natural resources.
