CCOPAB instructor participates in multinational exercise in Kenya
Nairobi (Kenya) - From March 9 to 18, Major Armando Alves de Oliveira Souza, Instructor of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), participated as an observer in the Justified Accord Exercise 22.
The Justified Accord Exercise 22 is a multinational exercise, organized by the United States African Command and the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force-Africa, and it is hosted by the Kenyan Defense Forces.
The Exercise was attended by 161 members from 21 nations, and the main objective was building U.S. partners’ readiness to take part in UN and African Union missions, and increasing multinational interoperability in support of counter extremist organizations, counterterrorism, and crisis response.
CCOPAB's participation in the Exercise was highly relevant, contributing to the continuous training of its teaching team and to improve the Center's international insertion, in accordance with its quest for being an international reference in promoting excellence in the preparation of human resources for peace operations and humanitarian demining.
