CCOPAB instructor takes the Civil-Military Cooperation Course in Canada

Kingston (Canada) - From 17 to 28 January 2022, CPT (Infantry) Thiago Brandão Wunderlich, an instructor of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), was a student in the Civil-Military Cooperation Staff Officer Course held at the Peace Support Training Center (PSTC).

The course objective was to prepare the military personnel to work as Chief or Assistant of the CIMIC Cell (G9) at tactical and operational levels, involving planning, direction and CIMIC information sharing to contribute to the operational planning process (OPP).

The participation of CCOPAB instructors in activities of this nature is in line with Sergio Vieira de Mello Center's vision for the future - to be an international reference when it comes to promoting excellence in the preparation of human resources for peace operations and humanitarian demining.

It is important to highlight that the CIMIC Course offered at CCOPAB is internationally recognized and was certified by the United Nations Department of Peace Operations in 2018.
