CCOPAB takes part in a virtual preparatory workshop for the exercise VIKING 22

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – From 17 to 19 January 2022, instructors from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) took part in the second virtual workshop to prepare incidents and events for the exercise VIKING 22, which is to take place between 28 March and 07 April 2022.

The main objective of the activity was to consolidate the matrix composed of about 160 incidents and events that will be presented, in an integrated way, to the military, police and civilian components, which will participate in VIKING 22. The matrix of events attempts to simulate a UN multidimensional Peace Operation.

The workshop was organized by the Land Operations Command (COTER), bringing together members of the Direction of the Exercise (DIREX) of Brazil, composed of representatives from the Ministry of Defense (MoD), COTER, CCOPAB, the Brazilian Peace Operations Research Network (REBRAPAZ), and other guests.

The result of the work will be presented at the MEL/MIL II (Main Event List/Main Incident List II) meeting, to be held in Stockholm - Sweden, from 24 to 28 January 2022, with the participation of a CCOPAB instructor.
