CCOPAB carries out Preparatory Instructions for Peace Missions
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From November 22nd to 26th, 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center -, a Brazilian Army Teaching Establishment, subordinate to the Department of Military Technical Education – carried out the Preparatory Instructions for Peace Missions (IPMP, acronym in Portuguese).
The Instructions had the objective of preparing military personnel that will be United Nations Staff Officers (UNSO) in the following UN Peacekeeping Operations: United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) and United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).
The activities related to the teaching-learning process were conducted by instructors from CCOPab, including the instructors from the following Friendly Nations: Argentina and France; and the Volunteer Researcher from the Brazilian Research Network on Peace Operations (REBRAPAZ).
During this period, instructions related to the Core Pre-deployment Training Materials (CPTM), curriculum defined by the UN Department of Peace Operations, were delivered to three Marine Corps Officers from the Brazilian Navy.
