CCOPAB and REBRAPAZ contribute towards the preparation of the 12th Contingent of the Humanitarian and Logistic Task Force (ACOLHIDA Operation)

Rio de Janeiro (RJ). From 16 to 19 August 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center and the Brazilian Research Network on Peace Operations (REBRAPAZ) contributed towards the training of the 12th contingent of the Humanitarian and Logistic Task Force (ACOLHIDA Operation).

The capacity building activity, held at the facilities of the Army Military Club of Vila Militar, was carried out after the recces in Manaus (AM), Boa Vista and Pacaraima (RR) - from 01 to 06 August 2021 - whose objective was to update the situational awareness (CCOPAB and REBRAPAZ), before the PDT of the Hum Log Task Force.

During this week, the training, via constructive simulated exercises, was delivered by CCOPAB instructors and monitors as well as by REBRAPAZ members, in order to recreate routines to be faced by the 12th contingent when deployed: first assistance, reception and support, sheltering and interiorization.

Nearly 470 soldiers from the Eastern Military Command took part in the training.
