CCOPAB Mobile Training Team (MTT) delivers Peace Mssion instructions to train the Infantry Platoon from Wing III, within UNPCRS
Canoas (RS). From 09 to 13 August 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - a Brazilian Army Educational Organization, supervised by the Department of Military Technical Education, delivered peace mission instructions to train the Brazilian Air Force Infantry Platoon.
On that occasion, the MTT delivered UN doctrine instructions as per the Core Pre-Deployment Training Material (CPTM): UN Structure, Human Rights, POC, Child Protection, Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), WPS Agenda, First Aid, and Environmental issues, among others.
The capacity-building training was carried out by four CCOPB members: two from the Brazilian Army and two from the Brazilian Air Force. Also, there were 45 students from the Air Force Command:
- Canoas Security and Defense Group (GSD-CO, acronym in Portuguese), headquartered in Wing III (Canoas-RS); and
- Santa Maria Security and Defense Squadron (ESD-SM, acronym in Portuguese), headquartered in Wing IV (Santa Maria-RS).
The peace mission instructions will provide the Brazilian Air Force Infantry Platoon with the conditions to take part in UN PKOs, integrating the PKF Mechanized Infantry Battalion (Brazilian Army) available to the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UNPCRS).
