CCOPAB takes part in the UN Police Training Architecture Programme
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 25 May 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center- Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - a Brazilian Army Educational Organization supervised by the Department of Military Technical Education took part in an online seminar as part of the United Nations Police Training Architecture Programme.
The programme is a joint effort of the UN Police Division and the Integrated Training Service (ITS) - both from the UN Department of Peace Operations - along with Police Contributing Countries (PCC).
1LT Rodolfo ESPERIDIÃO from Alagoas State Police, a CCOPAB instructor, is a member of the Curriculum Development Group/CDG 07 (competence evaluation), together with police officers from Russia, Portugal, Sierra Leone and others.
The main objective of the programme is to come up with continuous training for UNPOLs deployed to peace missions. Currently, CDG 07 is consolidating the Standard Operating Procedure/SOP for competence evaluation.
From September 2017 to September 2019, 1LT Esperidião was deployed to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), as an UN Individual Police Officer (Community Policing Team Leader) in the city of Rumbek (Lakes).
