CCOPAB takes part in the activity from the Latin American Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (ALCOPAZ)

Rio de Janeiro, RJ. On 28 April 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - an educational military organization of the Brazilian Army, supervised by the Department of Military Technical Education, took part in ALCOPAZ Coordination Meeting II, via VTC.

Among other subjects, it is important to highlight the presentation delivered by the Force Generation Service (FGS)/ Office of Military Affairs (OMA)/ UN Department of Peace Operations (DPO) on the following topic: “The Force Generation Process and Capabilities (Readiness and Training) towards UN PKOs.”

Commanders, directors and chiefs of Training Centers from the following countries participated in the activity: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, which is currently holding the Pro-tempore presidency of ALCOPAZ.

Besides CCOPAB Commander, MAJ Félix, Chief of the Division of Coordination and Planning and MAJ Christiane Lima, instructor were also present during the activity.

Sergio Vieira de Mello Center has been a full member of ALCOPAZ since 2007.
