CCOPAB participates in VIKING 18
The Brazilian Site of the 2018 Viking Exercise was held in the facilities of the Planalto Military Command as well as in the Brazilian Army Headquarters, both in Brasília, between April 16 to 26.
This edition of the Exercise had the attendance of 2500 participants, among representatives, players and observers from about 50 countries and from 80 international institutions and non-governmental organizations.
Members of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), personnel from the Brazilian Armed Forces and Friendly Nations, participated in the Exercise. Besides taking part in the gaming, CCOPAB’s personnel also contributed by providing doctrinal guidance regarding Peace Operations, assessment and observation of lessons learned as well as simulating incidents for the development of the Exercise.
