CCOPAB receives visit from Colombian War College

On September 5, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received the visit of members of the Colombian War College. Major General (Air Force) Fernando Leon Losada Montoya, chief of the delegation, along with Colonel (Air Force) Lincoln Marcel Parada Galvis, Air Force military attaché in Brazil and a delegation of 60 students were hosted by Colonel Machado, CCOPAB's Commander, and other officers.

The activity aimed at visiting the facilities and learning about the mission and the tasks carried out by CCOPAB. Besides, the delegation could also learn about the Brazilian participation in past and current peace missions.

Following the institutional presentation of the Center, the delegation was presented with the actions CCOPAB carries out to prepare military, police and civilians (Brazilians or from Friendly Nations) for peace missions and for humanitarian demining. The Colombian War College members visited the facilities of the Center and Haiti Memorial, which pays tribute for the fallen during 2010 earthquake in Haiti and Delta Camp.

Institutional souvenirs were exhanged between CCOPAB's Commander and the Chief of the delegation and the latter signed the Book of Honor of the Center and a book regarding the representativeness of women in Latin American Armed Forces was distributed.
