CCOPAB receives Military Police Peace Force for Preparation Instructions
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - Between August 27 and 31, the Brazilian Peace Operations Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) delivered Preparation Instructions for Commanders and Joint Staff (IPCOEM, acronym in Portuguese) and for Commanders of Sub Units, Platoons and Combat Groups (IPCOSUPELGC, acronym in Portuguse) for the Military Police Peace Force Company (Cia PE F Paz, acronym in Portuguese), that is to be available for the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UNPCRS).
The content of the Core Pre-deployment Training Materials (CPTM) were taught to the attendees. Besides, they also reached the following objectives: integration of knowledge in order to work in the functions described for the Military Police Peace Force Company; plan how the Cia PE F Paz can be employed, taking into account the synchrony of the operational systems, according to the guidelines and norms of a peace operation.
The instructions for IPCOEM and IPCOSUPELGC had theoretical and practical approaches that enabled to assess the following features in the attendees: adaptability, self confidence, fellowship, coherence, cooperation, creativity, intellectual discipline, emotional balance, flexibility, initiative, organization, responsibility, readiness, decision, thoroughness, rusticity and persuasion.
The instructions counted on the support of Captain Monteiro de Barros, that delivered a lecture on Social Communication in a Peace Force Company; Captain Peralva and 1st Lieutenant Raian. All three showed the lessons learned and better practices, besides 1st Lieutenant Forster that addressed "Health, HIV/AIDS".
