Land Operations Commander visits CCOPAB
On July 31, General Paulo Humberto Cesar de Oliveira, Land Operations Commander (COTer, acronym in Portuguese) visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The aim of the visit was to present the general the activities CCOPAB carries out, as well as its syllabus and facilities.


After the welcoming ceremony, Colonel Ramires, CCOPAB’s Commander, delivered a lecture on the activities the Joint Training Center carries out. The General was given the opportunity to learn about the preparation of military and police personnel as well as civilians –from Brazil and Friendly Nations -, for peace missions and humanitarian demining.

While visiting CCOPAB, the Land Operations Commander understood the activities each Division of the Joint Center is in charge of. At the end of his visit, there was a ceremony to set the launch of the cornerstone of Camp D. This new Camp is a semi permanent structure that will be composed of classrooms, library and of the following Divisions: Doctrine; Assessment; Planning and Coordination; Education and Training; and Translators and Interpreters.
