Brazilian Air Force Military Personnel are trained by CCOPAB

Between 27 of March and 7 of April, Mobile Training Teams (MTT) from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) headed to Manaus and Porto Velho (both in the north of Brazil), in order to train units from the Brazilian Air Force that will be held at the disposal of the United Nations Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System (UNPCRS).

The MTTs, coordinated by CCOPAB’s instructors Maj Rodrigo and Maj Igor in Manaus and Porto Velho respectively, addressed subjects related to the Core Pre Deployment Training Materials (CPTM), primary material for those who may be designated to UN Peace Missions. Moreover, the Air Force units were also given important content regarding military aviation in peace operations.

The Brazilian Air Force provides the UNPCRS military personnel from the 2nd Squadron of the 3rd Aviation Group, 7th Squadron from the 8th Aviation Group and from the 1st Squadron of the 9th Aviation Group. The very first is based in Porto Velho and the others are in Manaus.
