CCOPAB contributes to course in Canada
Aiming at strengthening the cooperation bonds with international institutions, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) designated one of its members, Lieutenant (Navy) Rodrigo Souza, to be an instructor in the UN Military Expert in Mission Course, held in the Peace Support Training Center (PSTC), in Kingston-Ontario, Canada.
The course started on March 14th and it will end on April 13th, and its goal is to train military personnel to be deployed as Military Observers, Liaison Officers and as UN Peace Operations Staff Officers. Canadian officers, personnel from Japan and Mexico are currently attending the course. Besides the Brazilian instructor, the course also has the support of an instructor from Australia.
The Peace Support Training Center is part of the Canadian Army and is in charge of training Canadian and foreign military personnel for peace missions.
