Colombia - CCOPAB participates in Seminar on military women
On March 9 and 10, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) participated in the 2nd International Seminar on Military Women in Bogota, Colombia. The aim of the Seminar was to discuss the challenges faced by military women in the Armed Forces with multiple missions, as well as to enhance the value of the participation of their homeland, strengthen their capacities and develop the military morale.
In the morning of March 9, Major Christiane Lima, instructor from CCOPAB and the Brazilian representative, delivered a presentation on “military women in Brazil”. The presentation briefly showed a historical record of women in the Brazilian Armed Forces, ways to enlist in the military, current staff and the female participation in peace missions.
