On 23 February, CCOPAB received the Canadian Defense Attaché in Brazil, Captain (Navy) Réal Brisson, accompanied by Ms. Alison Grant, Minister-Counselor and Chief of the Political Section at the Canadian Embassy in Brazil. The aim of the visit was to know what activities CCOPAB carries out and also to strengthen the partnership in PKO training.

On 17 February 2016, at Estácio de Sá University, representatives of CCOPAB delivered a lecture about the importance of the Brazilian participation in Peacekeeping Operations (PKOs). At the event, CCOPAB presented a historical background on the evolution of PKOs and the first participations of Brazil. It was then concluded that the use of such operations is an instrument of the Brazilian foreign policy.

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 15 to 26 February, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) is preparing the officers who will be deployed in the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti as Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders of the 24th Brazilian Contingent (CONTBRAS).

Rio de Janeiro - From February 1 to 5, members of the Brazilian Battalion (24th Contingent) took part in the training carried out by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese).

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - The Brazilian Army will send Major Regina Lúcia Moura Schendel, who is a military doctor, to operate under the aegis of the UN in the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL).

On February 01, there was the beginning of the UN Staff Officers Course (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese) in which there is the participation of 07 students, all from the Brazilian Army. The course is given by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), Sergio Vieira de Mello Center.
