Juíz de Fora (MG) hosts the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill of Brabat 2/17

From 2 to 7 of November, 2012, the members of the 17th Contingent of the 2nd Brazilian Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion (BRABAT 1/17) took part in the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill (EAOP) in Juiz de Fora/MG. This is the closing activity before taking off to Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital, where they will be part of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) for the next six months.

During the exercise, there were simulations that reproduced real situations to be faced in Haiti in order to test the reactions of the military personnel and to give them the opportunity to apply, in practice, all the knowledge acquired throughout the training of the Contingent.

The exercise was supported by different public and private institutions, and also the local population of Juiz de Fora, which also contributed to the success of the mission.
