CCOPAB’s 2012-1 Course for Peacekeeping Operations on its second week
On this Monday, May 14, students from the 2012-1 Course for Peacekeeping Operations started the second week of activities with instructions that dealt with the main tasks of the UN Police, Safety and Risk and Survival as a Hostage, all of which were conducted by Cap Helio from the Military Police of the State of São Paulo (acronym in Portuguese: PMESP).
In the afternoon of that same day, the students underwent their first practical drill on negotiation and mediation at the facilities of CCOPAB, during which they dealt with four different situations UNMO may face in their missions, such as: a checkpoint blocking a road, negotiation with local leaders and ways of mediating an important negotiation.
