CCOPAB participates in the apprenticeship of Social Communication at the Eastern Military Command

From April 24 to 27 of this year, Palácio Duque de Caxias hosted the Regional Apprenticeship of Social Communication of the Eastern Military Command (acronym in Portuguese: CML). The Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (acronym in Portuguese: CCOPAB) was represented by First-Lieutenant (T) Figueiró, Chief of the Social Communication Division at CCOPAB. The event was opened by Lieutenant-General Barcellos, Commander of the Center of Social Communication of the Brazilian Army, who presented the perspectives of Social Communication of the Land Force for the year of 2012.During one week, the apprentices could attend the speeches of military and civilian experts who work in the area of Communication such as João Pinheiro, a journalist at Rede Record, Rodrigo Pimentel, the security commentator at Rede Globo, and the Chief-Adjunct from the Office of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Pimentel, as well as officers from the 5th Section at CML, who presented topics of high importance for the professionals who work with Social Communication in the Brazilian Army.

The participants could have a close view of the work done by communication media such as "O Dia", "Rede Record", "Bandeirantes" and the website "SRZD". The apprenticeship aimed at making public the Brazilian Army's directives concerning its Social Communication Plan for the year of 2012 and at leveling knowledge among the participants. It was also a positive way for the change of experiences among the participants who work at the military organizations subordinated to the Eastern Military Command.
