CCOPAB carries out the Oath of enlistment, Medal awarding and Promotion
In the morning of August 31, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) had another day of intense activities. Thirty soldiers, who enlisted this year, took the enlistment oath in front of the Brazilian Flag under the emotional presence of their relatives. On this occasion, six military personnel, including CCOPAB commander, were awarded with the following medals:
Col Pedro Aurelio de Pessôa - Mérito Batalhão Suez Mensageiro da Paz medal and the Ordem do Mérito Batalhão Suez medal (gold); Capt Danilo Villela Silva Derré Torres, the Ordem do Mérito Batalhão Suez medal (silver); Capt Ana Paula de Almeida Cardoso and SG Antonio Carlos Marques Moreno, Bronze medal (ten years of service); WO Jorge Henrique Alves and SG Gonzalo Ferreiro Forjan, Silver medal (twenty years of service) as a recognizition of the good services.
And closing the activities two officers changed their epaulettes as they were promoted: Captain ALEXANDRE CARNEIRO BASTOS, from the Army, to the rank of Major and Lieutenant JOSIANE SOUZA DE CARVALHO BRITO, from the Navy, to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Col Pessôa made a speech, stressing the importance of the family in the formation of personality and character.
