Another PKF Engineering Company ready to GO to Haiti

The Advanced Pre Deployment Drill (EAOP) of the 15th Contingent of the PKF Engineering Company took place from June 18 to 23 in Itajubá – MG. It was a strength of 400 people, among whom were military, civilian and police personnel. The EAOP was the highlight of the preparation of the PKF Engineering Coy which will leave for Haiti in the second semester this year. The exercise was coordinated by the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center and by the Engineering and Construction Department. Besides these two actors, the military training had the support and participation of the 4th Combat Engineering Battalion and the local society, which contributed to the training of the military personnel of the engineering subunits. The simulated activities aim to portray the possible situations to be met in the friendly country, due to the missions carried out by the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). In this context, the military personnel performed their work in a multidimensional environment, consolidating the understanding of the peculiarities of the integration with the different actors present in the area of the Peacekeeping Operation.
